Midlife360 CIC are working with Places for People to create a Return-to-Work Toolkit to support women as they look to find good work in Huntingdonshire. These toolkits will be distributed across the Places for People estate and across the district.
We have found that many midlife women struggle to find engaging and fulfilling roles which work around their lives. The toolkit includes information on CV writing, wellbeing, preparing for interviews and how to keep track of your applications. We know that the recruitment process can be hard to navigate so this toolkit aims to alleviate some of the worries that come with job hunting.
We can all face barriers to finding good work and in midlife there can be even more challenges including a drop in confidence, menopause symptoms and a change in caring responsibilities. As a social enterprise, Midlife360 look to change this, one midlife woman at a time.
Ingrid from Midlife360 CIC said “Having returned to work 5 years ago, I found it challenging to find a role that would suit my skills and work around my family. I was lucky but many women find there are many barriers facing them when accessing good work. This toolkit aims to give support and advice on how to navigate the first steps in returning to work. We are delighted to be working with Places for People on this new venture”

I was more than happy to support a funding request for this toolkit to help midlife women navigate the path to building confidence and finding a job for a new phase in their life. This toolkit will help many Places for People customers and others in their communities”
